The basic idea - healthy cooking

In the 19th century, cooking was polluted. Pots released problematic substances when heated. The grandfather's idea was to produce "healthy tableware" from enamel. Anyone who thinks that this challenge no longer exists today is mistaken. Pots and pans are still potential sources of harmful substances. Riess does everything in its power to ensure that tableware is free from all of this. But responsibility goes further today. Riess is committed to ensuring that cooking is energy-saving and safe.

History

The roots of this traditional company go back to 1550, when the original pan forge was founded in Ybbsitz in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel region. In 1922, the ancestors of the Riess family began producing high-quality enamel cookware.

Handwork

There are up to 40 steps behind every RIESS Premium Enamel product. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand and is an original. The handmade nature of the enameling is reflected in some of the typical characteristics of enameled products. These make up the incomparable charm of a RIESS original.
